Book Review: Divine Obsession by Rob Hensser (2006)

Title:  Divine Obsession  ISBN:  9780739468692

Author:  Rob Hensser

About the author:  He is the director of “the Construct,” a discipleship and mentoring community for youth, and a member of the executive leadership team of YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in Melbourne, Australia.  He spends 26 weeks a year speaking to groups of young from all over the world.

This book is all about God’s illogical, insane, incomprehensible, impassioned love for you.  Each chapter tells a story from the Bible in a way that you have never read or heard before.  The author paints a picture of the situation and slowly gives you clues as to what Bible story he is telling.  The smells, sounds, and details that he shares brings the stories to life.  In each chapter, you see how awesome God’s love is for you.  I recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their storytelling or needs a reminder of how much God loves them.
